Global Terrorism Database (GTD) 1970–2020

The non-contributory licensed GTD full file provides event-level historical evidence for more than 200,000 qualifying domestic and transnational terrorism incidents worldwide from 1970 through 2020, with no incident file for 1993. It supplies event date and identifier, country, administrative area, city and geocoded location, attack, target and weapon classifications, fatalities and injuries, and property-damage indicator, extent and direct nominal-US-dollar value where reported. Use it only as bounded historical occurrence evidence under GTD's inclusion criteria and taxonomy; preserve location precision, coverage period, file release and retrieval date, and missingness, and do not treat it as current threat intelligence or legal disposition.
