Imagery ground sample distance
The ground distance represented by one image pixel or sample, on the source’s stated unit and product basis.
Sources that carry it
4 sourcesAuthenticated commercial platform for buyer-selected bounding boxes or GeoJSON AOIs. Its STAC Discovery API searches the DigitalGlobe archive by location, acquisition interval, collection, item id, and metadata; Ordering and Streaming deliver selected imagery; the Basemap API streams Vivid products and source-image metadata. Discovery, ordering, streaming, tiles, browse images, full-resolution downloads, and Vivid access are delivery/services of this one contracted platform, not separate Sources. Raster assets and geometries remain in Source prose. No roof-change or damage result is documented.
Standing subscription to current and historical vertical, panorama, oblique, and true-ortho aerial imagery. Buyers select unrelated locations through MapBrowser or authenticated Coverage, Tile, WMS, and Transactional Content APIs. Coverage results expose captureDate, firstPhotoTime, lastPhotoTime, survey/resource IDs, pixelSize/GSD, onlineTime, imagery type, and location metadata inside repeated survey/resource structures; imagery is raster. Those repeated and raster structures are retained here in prose and are not flattened into Features. MapBrowser and API families are delivery surfaces, not separate Sources.
Commercial SkySat scene/collect archive available to licensed users through Planet Data API search, Orders API, Subscriptions API, and file download. Buyers can search arbitrary GeoJSON AOIs and acquisition times, select catalog item ids, order full products, and subscribe to future matching captures. SkySat scenes have sub-meter products suitable for building-level visual context. APIs, Explorer, subscriptions, clipping, tasking, and download are access modes for one SkySat product family. No explicit roof-change or damage output is documented.
Commercial, non-contributory Elements product that automatically analyzes post-disaster Gray Sky imagery and returns event-scoped, property/building-attributed damage records together with available pre-catastrophe attributes. The separate Damage API offers coverage, event, extract, tile, count, and PDF-report services; official documentation says assessments are generally generated within 24 hours after Gray Sky imagery publication. Exact outputs include post-catastrophe collection/event, capture date, image id, camera technology, GSD, orientation source, model version, roof debris/missing-material/structural-damage/tarp percentages, solar-panel and water-heater damage detections, and approximate FEMA classification. Availability is limited to properties inside qualifying post-disaster Gray Sky collections; it is not a causation opinion or a claim-specific commissioned report.
