A composite modeled crime-risk value across offense classes, distinct from an observed crime rate and from offense-specific indexes. The coverage edge must state scale, direction, benchmark, period, and model version.

Scores carry methodology, benchmark geography, past/current/projected year, and release-vintage dimensions; Premium+ adds CAS, POI, demographic, CRF, and methodology-pattern context.
Annual licensed full-file modeled crime-index dataset for Census block groups in the 50 United States and District of Columbia. The 2026 release uses 2025 reference data and delivers national crime indices, national-relative categories, within-state indices, block-group boundaries, and an accompanying PBKEY-to-block-group lookup in MapInfo Extended TAB or pipe-delimited text.
